Parents play a vital role in their child's musical education. Here are some tips to help your child practice effectively at home:

Tips for Parents & Students

  • Establish a consistent practice schedule.
  • Provide positive reinforcement.
  • Play the Suzuki music or other music you are learning performed by good musicians as much as possible. (See resources for listening to Suzuki music here:  
  • Create a dedicated and quiet practice space.
  • Set achievable, small goals to keep progress steady.  Include incentives for your child or yourself as needed.

Payment Policy:

Payment due the first lesson of each month. 

Check, cash or venmo (@Elizabeth-Simmons-98130) accepted.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Credit given toward next month’s lesson with 24-hour cancellation notice. Exceptions - illness, weather or other emergencies.
  • For 30 min lessons that include group lessons, $20 credit is issued ($5 goes to group lesson)
  • No credit for missed group lesson.
  • Make-up lessons can be scheduled if time permits.  
  • If the teacher needs to cancel a lesson, credit will be given for the following month.  
  • If the teacher needs to cancel a group lesson, each will receive a $5 credit for the following month.
